base complete

pretty grass is pretty. Ok I really like how this came out looking like :) I'm really impresses with the premade grass sheets and I'll likely end up using it more in the future. the edges were easy enough to blen in too

planting the base and stuff

Finally complete TuT
here is the base, been using the new grass sheets I found and I'm really really happy how they work out. makes the ground look really rich with plant life :)
ended up needing to cut the pieses in to much smaller sections because the base of the grass is so rigid. smaller portions layed much better on the uneven surface.

paintjob complete

Here he is Aaaaalmost done with painting. still need to do the tail spikes TuT
but otherwise it's done. I had trouble getting a good picture of how the "stars" look in the pattern becuse of the reflection glare. I swear it looks better in real life TuT

now it's mostly left the base and I'll likely leave him detachable. I think it will be better for transportation plus you can have some fun picking him up even if the wire on the feet will het in the way of him sitting comfortably on hand XD

coloring

*sigh* I am painfully reminded why I usually option to work with precolored clay. Getting in to all the spots with paint to cover all of the surfaces is a paaaaain my god why did I do this to myself XD
Anyway, here is one stage of the coloring process. the colors will be adjusted better when the rough layout of them will be complete :)

Feathering

a lot more feathers added :)
Soooo many tiny bits. He gonna be known as Mr. Fluffers! it's still toothless tho. Poor guy needs a dentist :O
