The only mistake I'd like to change is making the holes in the egg pattern larger so the bird would be more visible

Phoenix egg attempt #2 The baloon worked much better

there are 3 colors I worked with because I initially attempted to separate the three sections to put a bird inside but it turned out a smaller single "door" would have been perfectly enough

atempting to make an egg... it's fail

so on a first try I used a styrofoam egg shape but the clay shrank too much when drying and smushed it. the egg shape is not there anymore
