A tree dragon needs some foliage :)
to make the leafy parts I used a shredded up sponge dyed in green :)

One of the things I should put more thought in, is making that initial concept art. It gives clean direction to the sculpture and helps come up with more potential concepts
hair. Soooo much hair :O
so I kinda love/hate the look. I really wanted to use curly stuff I had for the hair. it ended up being a lot more bushy than I wnated it TuT perhaps next time using slightly comed out yarn would get me the tinny poodle curls I wanted. Ah well
When I thought of the candy I wanted to include I emediately thoguht of the huge swirly multicolored ones. Had to do a few of them before I got one I liked :)
Also here I started to apply the hair fiber to the ears
flocking
for this fella I wanted to work with flock and other fibers to create the more natural fluffy look. So basically I added really fine fibers to the surface of the sculpture imitating fur

XD but at least it has clothes now. though I did end up ripping the arms off casue I didn't like how that looked

This thing looks absolutely terrible O_O
it kinda looks like sphinx cat... and it still looks cute to me ^^
the fur is all textures and not sculpted like strands of hais as I usually do and I really like the look of it. I'll likely switch to this type of fur elsewhere as well. probably :)
The pose quite cute when looked from the front
while initially I intended it to be the same as the previus "fox on the pillow" I went with a bit different pose that seemed more like he just slumped there :P
