Welcome to the little corner of my own personal projects! Here can be foun various sculptures, paintings and other experimental art I decide to try.
Select a thread down below and enjoy as I show you the process of my work :)
so in the end all that emptiness was filled out quite significantly. almost too much going on ut at least it gines the environment a happy feel. all the colorful corals those are gonna be
I did not want him strictly gold. which gold color would do. So I opted for the "shimmering" paint which essentially means that the pigmnents only show up under certain angles. in this cae gold. For that the base needed to be prepainted and color structures as I wanted.
Also it's worth noting that shimmering pigments show up almost like normal paint on black and dark background. On while or light background it's nearly unseen until it reflects light and the reflected part is the color of the shimmer pigment. in this case it worked great :)
Lukcily I had a larger dome on hand to replace the other one. Now I'm faced with the problem of having so much extra space to fill. what to do what to do
I have in the past experienced what it means to try and make a ton of coins cur from paper ... not doing that ever again. just cutting slices from noodles is perfectly fine QuQ
So the idea here was a golden bird that guards the treasure. Kinda took thunderbird from harry potter as an inspiration for this one cause I really loved the golden shimmer on the feather and wanted to make something similar :)
well, here we are with another experimental thing. since I can't use the resin as watter on a large scale like here and always having those layer visible if I do it in layers, I'll be atempting to do it with gel wax insted :)
somehow I let him sit without the flames for so so long. Maybe I was dreading the fire making quite a lot and that made me hesitate. but eventually he was finished so here is his fire-y butt finally :D
I wasn't sure about the brightness of the stripes at first so I started with something duller. however that worked out in the end as it alowed me to gradually build up the pattern so it's not even all over the place
plenty of red for the underwing I decided. as for the stripes I just decided to wing it and see where it goes how it goes. I had a general idea of what I want and was half tempted to make them gold, but eventually setteled on just regular acrylic color.
