Had the wings all dome and then decided I didn't like them :( redid it all
Often times it happenes that I redo parts of my sculptures that I did not like or I thought I could do better. I don't always document these parts but they happen more often that one may think.

Definitely regreting the textured horns X_x
the texture is done slowly by laying down a thin layer and then srape all over with a sculpting tool
Lots of body scales!
I really want to make him look like lava cracked surface. Hopefully I can manage to make it work in painting process :)
As if it was always ment to be this way :)
and here is the final result. Sprinkled a bit of moss around the edges and it looks perfect ^^

Painting, cutting and reattaching the discarded third pair of wings!
while I have removed the pair of wings for not fitting visually on the base of the tail it does not mean I can't resue them elswhere ^^ so I did just that on the tail tip.
No matter what I did not like the third pair of "wings". eventually they had to go T^T
I really wanted them to look good in the end but sometimes you just can make it work. So I had to remove them to benefit the overall look of the sculpture
And just like that the horns were destroyed and remade :O
It was at this point that it was decided this project will resemble Drogon so certain aspects needed to be replaced and redone in order to correct the look :)
In the future there will be more correcting done :O

the true size and mass of him comes through now that he has the membrane done :)

so I decided to make him a bit more contrasting to the background, so I went with the nearly complementary colors to before :D
Fishscaling. been a long while since I atempted those
It was in recent commission that I got inspited to once again try creating a fishscale skin on a sculpture. I'm pretty happy with the result
Always use the mistakes to your advantage. Nobody will know the difference :D
It happenes in art that sometimes some mistakes can't be "fixed". But you CAN use those mistakes in the art piece by incorporating them in a way where they blend in to the piece seamlessly, as if they were always meant to be. Nobody will know the difference unless told otherwise.
